I love my horse. She is quirky, spunky, and full of character. She comes when I call, lets me pull her backwards by her tail, and understands me when I tell her, "stay." She will even pose for the camera upon request! Sometimes our animal friends present us with special challenges though... Aimee is allergic to bugs. Before we discovered and decided to try Weatherbeeta's fly sheets, Aimee developed very inflamed skin. She was scratching her hair out, looking terrible, getting sunburned where she had little to no hair, and furthermore, getting secondary skin infections from the chronic irritation. The vet then had to put her on antibiotics for the infections and give her injections of steroids and antihistamines to try and quell the angry storm of reactions she was experiencing. It would get better for a time, but then as soon as the medications wore off, her symptoms would return with a vengeance and she would be miserable again. I was beginning to feel like I was failing my horse. If I didn't get the vet fast enough, her symptoms would cascade even further out of control. It might be noted that Aimee really hates shots too. Trust me, she can get squirrelly. Let's just say that I felt bad for the vet. Fun times. Now my horse has much better hair, which is always a plus and something I'll no longer take for granted. She has not needed the shots from the vet at all in the past three years, which is the amount of time she has been wearing the fly sheets. (I'm quite sure the good doctor was as excited about this as Aimee and I were.) She still gets a little bit of skin irritation because it's pretty hard to cover all of her up, but overall she is amazingly better. South Georgia bug days last from probably March till September, so during this time you won't catch Aimee without her fly sheet. Aimee is pretty smart. She figured out quickly that this outfit the hubs affectionately refers to as a "dress" affords her protection from pesky biting insects. So there you go. My horse wears pajamas. She loves those pajamas too.

You might not have easy access to a technician skilled in repairing digital pianos. Shipping the instrument for repair could be both expensive and risky, given the sensitive electronics inside.
